I was the Assistant Director to Mark Laville and Kev Johnson on this huge project led by Plymouth City Council.
The World at Your Feet was a city-wide theatre and dance project that celebrated the many people who have made Plymouth their home. There was a full programme of events celebrating the richness and texture migration brings to our city including a schools tour, a free dance weekend in the city centre Piazza and ten outdoor performances in the Royal William Yard.
This unique partnership project was presented by WIRED, a consortium of Plymouth’s leading arts organizations including: Attik Dance, Barbican Theatre, Plymouth Music Zone, Plymouth Dance and Theatre Royal Plymouth in collaboration with Plymouth City Council.
The World at Your Feet was one of the outstanding projects granted the London 2012 Inspire mark, the badge of the London 2012 Inspire programme, which recognises exceptional and innovative projects inspired by the 2012 Games.
